前几天，马六甲首席部长阿里鲁斯旦在沙巴州说，“要成为马来人是很容易的，只要一个人信奉回教、说马来语及过马来人的生活方式，那么无论他是卡达山人、印度人或华人，他都可被称为马来人。” 他也说，“如果一个卡达山人信奉回教，我们将把他们看成是马来人，如果他们不信奉回教，那么他们将被视为土著（bumiputera）。” 他是在沙州首长慕沙说沙州的3百万人口中有一半是马来人后，发表这番言论。 阿里鲁斯旦这番言论于是成为沙巴州英文报的封面新闻，引起沙州行动党、公正党和马青团长的抨击，许多卡达山人也对此言论议论纷纷。

“清者自清、浊者自浊”，张天赐勿需对《阿窿王》称号过于敏感
行动党宣传秘书兼士布爹区国会议员郭素沁于 2007年6 月9日（星期六）在吉隆坡发表的文告 “清者自清、浊者自浊”，张天赐勿需对《阿窿王》称号过于敏感 我对马华公共投诉局主任张天赐因着光明日报于 2006年12 月8 日以”张天赐是阿窿王？”这标题来起诉光明日报，感到惊讶。 如果我们详细阅读光明日报当天的报道的话，我可以肯定的说该报根本没指张天赐是”大耳窿”。 首先，在标题方面，光明日报在”张天赐是阿窿王”这标题后头加上问号，这表示该报编辑质疑这句话的真实性；第二，光明日报在内页特别针对”张天赐是阿窿王”这句话作出解释，那即是由于张天赐经常为人民处理有关阿窿的个案，因此坊间给他套上”阿窿王”的称号。 这证明光明日报在处理这则报道时并没存心毁谤，该报只是针对笔者之前在南洋商报的一则有关大耳窿的文章，而深入报道张天赐和笔者对处理大耳窿问题的不同观点吧了。 报载张天赐的入禀书里形容他本人是个”负责任、诚实、廉正及重视来自不同种族和背景的人的问题，而其声誉甚至远播国外，并受到当地社会的重视。”既然如此，张天赐为何会被光明日报的有关报道困扰，以致像他入禀书所说的”毁坏了他的生活、蒙受名誉和金钱的损失，使他和同事们遭受批评”呢？ 张天赐身为一位社会工作者，应该明了”谣言止于智者”这句话。他无须对光明日报有关的报道过于敏感，到甚至要对该报道采取法律行动，因为”清者自清、浊者自浊”，任何过敏的行动，只会引起坊间更多的舆论和猜测，使他的形象更受打击。 最后，我呼吁张天赐尊重新闻自由，勿通过法律诉讼行动来干扰媒体的报道和运作。
