Today, I officially wrote a letter to the Director of the City Transport Department (Jabatan Pengangkutan Bandar, JPB) at DBKL, En. Muhammad Azri Abdul Aziz. I have requested him to convene an all-party meeting to resolve the issues surrounding the “Skim Kawalan Kejiranan Taman Desa Fasa 1,” an initiative by the Taman Desa Phase 1 Residents Association (TDP1RA).
This action comes in response to public accusations made by TDP1RA President, Mr. Frank Yeh. He claimed that I ignored their memorandum regarding DBKL’s alleged “unilateral action” mentioned in a JPB DBKL letter dated 5 June 2026.
To set the record straight, I would like to clarify the facts:
• No Notification: I was never copied on, nor informed about, the said JPB DBKL letter sent to TDP1RA.
• Exclusion from Mediation: I was later informed that a mediation meeting took place between JPB DBKL and TDP1RA on 18 May 2026. Shockingly, neither my Parliament Service Centre nor the Majlis Perwakilan Penduduk (MPP) Seputeh Subzone 1—the official representative body for the people of Taman Desa—was invited.
• Asked to Leave: When the MPP Subzone 1 Chairman, Datuk William Chan, attended the mediation meeting on 18 May 2026 to offer support, TDP1RA leaders asked him to leave the meeting room.
It is deeply regrettable that when Mr. Frank Yeh failed to obtain his desired outcome from DBKL, he turned around and publicly accused me of ignoring their grievances. In reality, he was the one who demanded Datuk William Chan leave them alone with DBKL during that crucial mediation.
Since Mr. Frank Yeh has now publicly asked for my intervention in their dispute with JPB DBKL, I have formally requested the JPB DBKL Director to call for a comprehensive, all-party meeting. To ensure a fair and thorough discussion, I have requested DBKL to invite:
1. Myself (Seputeh Parliamentary Office)
2. Representatives of MPP Seputeh Subzone 1
3. TDP1RA Leadership
4. The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)
5. The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba)
Bringing all these stakeholders together is crucial to finding a win-win solution that prioritises the safety and well-being of the entire Taman Desa community.
My formal letter to the Director of JPB DBKL reads as follows:
