Behind the Scene: My CNY card photoshoot

This was my photoshoot session for my “Wushu” CNY photos. It took nearly four hours in to get the session (including make up) done.

 

I have to thank Jessie Chung (钟洁希) and her husband Joshua Beh (马思健）and their company director Dr Rebecca ( 张淑端牙医）for giving me assistance by providing its studio, clothing and Wushu weapons for me, and Joshua Beh and his staffs like Wendy Choot (出淑萍）, Rex Wong (黄俊忠）, Bryan Choot (出德庆）, Janet Chung （钟慧玲） who spent the whole afternoon coaching me to pose.

 

 

I also thank cameraman Clement Lai (赖庆民）for the great shots. The concept of this new year card came from my friend Leister Yam （甄志荣）who runs an advertising agency. He helped me to design my Chinese New Year cards in the past few years.

 

 

I like to have some fun when comes to CNY card design, and he has tons of creative ideas. 🙂

 

This year I told Leister that I wanted to play “wushu lady” as this could be the elections year and it is time to send out the message that I am ready for the battle. He then came out with the idea of making my CNY card into “Secret of Clean Governance”.

He then gave meaning for every “pose” that I made, such as “sword pierce bad governance”, , “Punch Corruption” , “Sword Slash Cronyism”, “Slap Against Abuse of Power”, “Stick Hit Corrupt Officials”. Brilliant. 🙂
