Two weeks ago, Hannah Yeoh and I together with SSIC had a dialogue on trade and investment opportunities with a large delegation from Tri-State region in Poland.
They were impressed with the i-City development in Selangor. They said that they have no such knowledge-based development in Poland. Many thanks to i-City for giving the Poles a presentation on that there.
I was surprised to learn that Malaysia receives a good amount of trade from Poland, but it doesn’t register on MIDA’s statistics as imports from Poland because much of it comes in via Singapore before entering Malaysia. The Polish economic office in Kuala Lumpur expressed their strong interest and willingness to work with Selangor on promoting more trade and investment between the two countries.
