Media statement by Teresa Kok, Senior EXCO for Investment, Industry and Trade and MP for Seputeh dated 1 September 2010 in Shah Alam
Record of invitations to Selangor Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMMS) to participate in meetings with Selangor State Government prove that DPMMS’s claim of being sidelined is false
Following the criticism by head of Selangor Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMMS) Tan Sri Rozali Ismail that Selangor State Government has been sidelining DPMMS, SSIC as the investment promotion arm of Selangor has looked at records of DPMMS’ attendance in meetings relating to economics and investment that have been held ever since Pakatan Rakyat became the government in Selangor.
As the EXCO responsible for investment, industry and trade, I wish to stress that for all meetings of the Investment, Industry and Trade Standing Committee which I chaired, all chambers of commerce and investment in Selangor have been invited and DPMMS was no exception.
In addition, all chambers of commerce and both domestic and foreign investors societies, including DPMMS, are regularly invited to participate in dialogues with the Menteri Besar, EXCOs and senior state government officers.
Members of DPMMS also sit on the Selangor Business Council.
For DPMMS and Tan Sri Rozali Ismail’s reference, below is a record of DPMMS’ attendance in meetings with Selangor State Government.

Our records show that Tan Sri Rozali Ismail has never attended any meetings with Selangor State Government. It is not known if he is aware that Selangor State Government has been inviting him to our meetings all this while.
The attendance chart also shows that representatives of DPMMS have attended five out of eight economy and trade meetings held. The attendance of DPMMS representatives show that Tan Sri Rozali Ismail’s accusation is false and baseless.
Teresa Kok
Hi everyone,
Do you expect truth from an alleged rent-seeker, who has an axe to grind with the Selangor State GOvt over the water restructuring issue?
On economics and investment matters in Selangor since 308, the above attendance record of SSIC clearly shows that DPMMS has never been side-lined! Hence, Selangorians and Malaysians should demand that DPMMS’s head apologise for his false allegations. This Tan Sri fellow is clearly trying to mislead the public about non-invitation to participate in economics and investment matters by PR S’gor Govt.
Just wants the water deal done ASAP. expect to see this grumblings continue….
keep records of all transactions. that’s clever. shame them.
keep up the good work, yb!
And these are people who are accorded “Tan Sris, Datuks and Tuns” in Malaysia! Just how do you expect this country to progress with such characters?! To cap this whole issue, we still have our great Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed (the longest reigning PM in the history of Malaysia) to give his usless “two cents” worth of comments that will do more damage than unite this great country called Malaysia! Dear Tun….please take a “leaf” from the great statesman down south called Lee Kuan Yew! Look at Singapore after 45 years of Independence and compare that with Malaysia’s 53 years! Some soul searching certainly needs to be done on your part, Dear Tun, before you answer to the Almighty and that is certainly not too far away, don’t you think? Has the fasting month done justice to that senile brain of yours? Nice time to ponder, don’t you think so?!!!

YB Teresa,
I very regret with u.
U as parliamentarian, ADUN and Exco Member should have many issues in related to ur constituencies, economy and policy issues.
But, you have allocated a lot of time just to respond the SIMPLE issue against Rozali. Hey, we pay you for the works, and please focus on the people agenda.
I think you can ignore all these things because it didn’t assist you in your rountine, unless u have grudge against Rozali.
YB,
Congratulations! U have done the right things.
I thing you should list all the companies or agencies that have been invited because as voters we want to know which companies are very supportive and else.
Please show us all the minutes of meetings, other attendees, and any documents that relates to Selangor economy and development. YB must uphold the transparency principle.
Oh yea, before I forget, can you please attach and disclose your assets since you elected as “wakil rakyat”
Anyway, I just think that do you have any personal unsatisfaction against Rozali?
Those pea brain, racialistic dickheads in DPMMS have been dudok diam diam dapat duit all the time expecting handouts from the government under BN all these years, now suddenly realised that they have to work for a living. Of course, the easiest way is to blame the opposition state government not helping to give them handouts.
They still have that mentality the past 53 years that the whole world owes them a living. No wonder our FDI dropped, local investors went overseas and hard working, talented people migrated.
