May Victor Liew rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his loved ones.
Missing man found tied to tree
2010/08/25KLANG: Three days after he went missing, engineer Victor Liew Shan Hong was found dead yesterday, tied to a rubber tree in Sungai Kandis, Shah Alam.He had wounds to the hands and body.He was found by a rubber tapper at an isolated rubber holding about 11am.
Police believe the 36-year-old father of a 2-year-old boy had been dead for about 48 hours.
Liew was reported missing by his wife, Sheng Mei Ying, 39, when he failed to return home from a fishing trip on Sunday.
She lodged the report on Sunday night after searching all his known angling sites in Shah Alam.
Liew had left home about 6am and would usually return home by afternoon.
The family later discovered that there had been four withdrawals, totalling RM6,000, from his bank account.
On Monday, police found Liew’s car in an isolated area at the end of the newly opened Kota Kemuning-Shah Alam highway.
Sheng later sought the assistance of Sri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafie to search for her husband.
A witness told Shuhaimi and the police that he was fishing at a lake in Alam Impian, Shah Alam, and Liew was on the opposite side of the lake.
He told police that about 9am, four men came out from some bushes and started beating Liew up before bundling him into his car and speeding off.
When news emerged that a body was found, Sheng declined to identify it at the hospital.
However, Shuhaimi managed to console her and took her to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital here, where she identified Liew.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Azam Jamaluddin said police were investigating the case as kidnap and murder.
v sad
Police didn’t do crap even after receiving report.
They don’t even know about the ATM withdrawal until family members of Victor informed them about it.
The family members know how to monitor banking activities while the police do not.
When family members complained, the police says don’t teach them how to do their work.
This is so sad. My condolences to the family for their loss.
I am not trying to be racial, but it would help tremendously if police could at least give us the descent of the 4 kidnapper. Chinese, Indians, Malay or foreigner? The very least, the skin color of the 4 culprit based on the witness report. This is crucial information at least to make sure people in that area could be wary of and be on alert. We don’t want another victim.
I have family members staying in that area and I hope more information could be circulated for public awareness.
Rest In Peace .
Police don’t think yourself very smart n clear ……Please be humble…..i know you have guns , but we have brain …and know how to use it
may the culprits are caught and hanged immediately…
May he rest in peace.
Police should take action and carry out full investigation when her wife report about the missing person. Hopefully, people with information can help the police. Depend on police action is like deadwood.
There must be a central point of reporting these incidents thats on the increase to show how many cases are happenng and has happened.
General public must be extra careful esp in lone places-parks,fishing,pinic areas etc.
You have to be on the alert at all times.
If no action taken soon people will resort to vigalante self protection group to protect their loved ones and community.
He was my classmate in form 5 ….he was a perfect gentleman. May justice prevail.
Hi Sanjeev, I’m glad to see another ex-classmate of Victor’s.
I knew him from back in college. Highly intelligent, with a very, very quick mind. He’s one of the best Assembly language programmers I have ever known personally.
Do you know how we can get in touch with his family to pay our last respects?
