Trade mission to Shanghai to see Shanghai World Expo and meet potential investors ;-))

Posted on Tuesday, 01-06-2010 by -ec-

I’m currently on a 6-day trade mission to China to see the Shanghai World Expo to learn from how other countries promote themselves, and of course, have meetings with potential investors.

So far, I’ve seen the Malaysia, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, Spain, Germany, and Polish pavilion. Very beautiful and impressive.

Will keep uploading photos to my Facebook album from time to time ;-))

    Hi YB

I’ve been surfing for info as I plan to visit the Expo in August 2010. Initial findings are that the favourite pavilions are those that took the opportunity to really embrace the theme Better City Better Life and come up with “food for the mind and the soul”. eg UK, France. Looking at Malaysian pavillion pics, it appears we may have missed the point! Looks like the usual tourismmalaysia stands at Trade Shows. We should have deployed our best architects and Fine Arts installation designers. I dont think budget is the issue.

    Feeling a bit embarrased.
