One of the most pleasant things the PAC delegation in our trip to New Zealand was the meeting with Malaysian diaspora.
On 27 June 2025, after the formal meeting with the Selwyn district mayor, we met with Malaysian diaspora who are residing in Christchurch.
Thanks to the arrangement of diaspora Mr Tony Gan, about 10 of them came to meet us in the Selwyn district office.
There were a few brilliant students among them. They received scholarships from JPA or local universities. They are students of accountancy.
One of the participants, Jeffrey Ling mentioned his father was the former DAP MP for Sibu, Ling Sie Ming.
That night, Jeffrey brought his parents to visit me at my hotel at 11.30pm. We had a good chat about the current situation of the country and the party.
Sdr Ling Sie Ming had suffered from stroke some years ago, he has recovered and he looked good.
I gave him a bottle of Vitamin E Tokotrienal, a supplement abstracted from Palm oil which can strengthen neuro system.
I know Ling Sie Ming when I first joined the party 35 years ago.
I never expected I will meet him and family in the down south of the planet earth well. Wishing him happy, good health and life.
