DAP leaders wishing our friends at our CNY Open house on 31st January 2009 Happy New Year.
Trying to be sassy are YB Teo Nie Ching, Yours Truly, YB Dr Maria and YB Jenice Lee. YB Ng Swee Lin is the odd man out. 🙂
Hi, everybody, belated Happy New Year to all of you.
If you have been wondering why I have been keeping quiet and have not updated my blog during Chinese New Year, that’s because I was busy shifting to a new home prior to CNY. Moving is the most ‘head aching’ thing to do. Although my new home is only a condo unit, but there are soooo many things to pack and to buy.
Then, I fell sick, apparently there’s a cough and flu virus roaming in town. I was sick for about two weeks. I just got better two days ago after I took the right medicine to clear my throat and nose.
Ya, as you know, the Pakatan Rakyat government in Perak fell during CNY. It was really heart-breaking news to me. I went up to Ipoh to give moral support to Nizar and my other colleagues.
As you know, I have also been busy attending various open houses during CNY.
Just show you some pix that I have taken.
DAP HQ organised a successful CNY open house. This is the first time we held it at the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall in KL, but after this year’s open house, we decided that we should use a much bigger hall in future as the hall could not even accommodate the present crowd. I actually felt a bit embarrassed to see many VIPs and invited guests having to stand throughout the open house. Well, this is the difference between being solely in the opposition and having one foot in government 🙂 .
On 26th January 2009, 1st Day of CNY at Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall
I joined the Chinese community leaders to send greetings to our guests.
The PKR women elected reps and me at the CNY open house hosted by PKR on first day of CNY. From left to right: YB Rodziah (exco of Selangor). YB Zuraidah (MP for Ampang), YB Nurul Izzah (MP for Lembah Pantai)
