Today I went to Salak South New Village to attend a celebration for the victory of Pakatan Harapan in GE14 initiated by some supporters.
The villagers raised funds and sponsored 11 roast pigs for the celebration. After the speeches of the DAP MPs in KL, namely Lum Lip Eng, Fong Kui Lun, Tan Kok Wai and myself, the villagers then que to take the roast pork.
The villagers organised lion dance and fire crackers for this event too. The salak south market hall was packed with people this morning.
Thanks to the Salak Soutn New Village folks. Many of them are DAP staunch supporters. This area used to be under Seputeh constituency but now it is under Bukit Bintang seat.
Fong Kui Lun told the villagers that he has directed DBKL to tar the road in the new village prior to GE. DBKL officers are very responsive as I see them tarring the road today. They are responsive may be because we are in power now.
Thanks to the Rakyat. We hope we are able to work for a better tomorrow for Malaysia.
