This morning, I called a press conference on the launching of signature campaign on over-development in Taman Desa. After the press conference, I joint the concerned citizens in Taman Desa to collect signatures from residents in the coffee shops in Taman Desa.
The Resident Association of Taman Desa (TDRA) found that the DBKL has approved many new high rise and high density residential development with 18 tower blocks totalling 5,744 apartment units in Taman Desa, Danau Desa and Bukit Desa.
Many of these projects are Rumah Whip. There is no LRT/MRT to be built in Taman Desa, it is unjustifiable for DBKL to approve all these high density buildings in Taman Desa, and theh worst thing is, some of the Rumah Whip projects are built in green area and childrenโs playground.
