AMPANG: PAS will be gunning for 9 out of 13 parliamentary seats in the Federal Territory during the 14th general election.
Federal Territory PAS commissioner Mohamad Noor Mohamad announced that the party planned to contest in Titiwangsa, Putrajaya, Labuan, Batu, Lembah Pantai, Wangsa Maju, Setiawangsa, Segambut and Bandar Tun Razak.
“This will be the most parliamentary seats contested in the general election in the history of PAS.
“However, the final decision on our seat distribution lies with the PAS central committee,” Mohamad Noor said during a press conference after his address to Federal Territory PAS members, reported The Star.
He also revealed that the party is ready to launch its election machinery.
“We are now improving the election machinery to ensure that it can work efficiently during GE14,” he added.
When asked whether PAS will work with Pakatan Harapan to avoid multiple-cornered fights, Mohamad Noor said PAS will not be working with the Opposition coalition.
“Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali might be working to persuade us to work together, but we have decided that we will not cooperate with them,” he said.
