Hi, everyone, I have not been writing anything on my blog lately, haiyah, very busy, running here and there.
I am in a rather boring meeting now, so I steal some time to write a few lines and blog now š
I received calls and sms from two investigation officers on the day before yesterday, when they asked me to give my statement relating to the azan issue. The IO of Dang Wangi, ASP Saerah, called me to give a statement on the police report that I lodged through my lawyer Sankara Nair on 17th September 2008 while I was under the ISA detention. ASP Soh, the IO in PJ police station, asked me to give a statement to him on his investigation into the report lodged by Lau Weng San, the State Assemblyman for Kg Tunku. Lau had, on 16th Sept 2008, lodged a police report against Utusan Malaysia and Khir Toyo.
I then decided to meet both of them yesterday. I went to give statements to ASP Saerah at Dang Wangi police station at 3pm and to ASP Soh at 6pm at Sankara Nair’s office.
In both these sessions, I had to repeat my story to both the IOs. Same old story la. I told them I was never involved in the petition against broadcast of the azan by the mosque in Bandar Kinrara. And of course I asked them to read my blog. I noticed that the IO in Dang Wangi had a thick file, she kept articles of my blog and some paper cuttings from Utusan Malaysia.
At the end of the “interrogation”, I gave a “Pakatan Rakyat Boycott Utusan Malaysia” badge to her. She happily kept it. š
ASP Saerah told me that the police investigated my police report according to section 8 of the Printing Presses and Publications Act. Section 8 is about “publishing false news”. While I am happy that the police opened a file and are investigating my and Lau’s police reports, I’m also grumbling that they took so long to carry out an investigation. Let’s see whether the police will take action or not, hm hm hmmmm …
DAP Seputeh members came to give me support after I gave my statement outside the Dang Wangi police station. The paper in my hand is the police report I lodged through my lawyer Sankara Nair (the tall, handsome man next to me) when I was under the ISA detention.

`I was wrongfully detained’
(11-11-2008)
KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time since her Internal Security Act detention on Sept 12, Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok had her statement on the azan issue recorded yesterday.
Kok, accompanied by her lawyer, Sankara Nair, did so after being told to present herself at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters over the Sept 10 “Azan, Jawi, Jais UITM dan Ba-alif-ba-ya” article in the Utusan Malaysia and her link to it.
A report was lodged by Sankara on Sept 17 at the Jalan Travers police station on Kok’s behalf on the issue after she was detained.
Speaking after being interviewed by police yesterday, Kok said she was questioned about her involvement in the issue highlighted in the daily and the police report lodged on her behalf.
She has denied allegations that she told mosque officials in Kota Damansara, Sri Serdang and Puchong Jaya to tone down the call to prayer.
The mosque officials also denied the alleged episode.
“I was wrongfully detained under the ISA and feel that the relevant authority should investigate the case thoroughly.”
Great to hear from u again. As i have said, any reports from the rakyat especially from the oppositions, getting the police to take action is like trying to find a needle in a haysack.
However, when their Umnoputras are threatened or disturbed, you can 100% guarantee immediate actions from them. By the way, NO NEED REPORT also la.
A glaring example will be the recent peaceful gathering in KL. See how ‘efficient” and “fast” they acted on those innocent people. Of late their reactions to the rakyat proved them to be great liars too. Upholding the law. My foot.
Anyway, i hope Teresa will continue to press for actions on your reports from the police on that racialistic “pendatang” idiot KT and the garbage reporting UM including those stupid pea brain reporters.
Go, go, go MP. Make sure u get the justice. But remember, dont try to stop others from getting justice too… especialy from your blog.
as long as corrupted regime racist umno is still in power & were supported by regime’s ‘korek korek gomen machineries’ of anjing2 polis, AG, ACA & Judges, JUSTICE will never ever prevail !!!!!

Hooi ! umno, itu semua Rakyat m’sia yang punya lah !
The Royal Malaysia Police have general lose it dignity and support from the Malaysian publics. In the eyes of the general publicās of Malaysia they are brutal, violent, unpatriotic, liar and uncompassionate.
Sooner or later the head of the force will be oozed out in the matters of their inhuman treatment and right to the very own people of Malaysia.
They began to forget that the main objective and mission of the force is to protect those weak and needy. Champion for peace and unprovoked situation.
Unfortunately the police have not been very prudent in their battle for the people. They forgot that Royal Police Malaysia is actually a public service department focusing on the safety and harmonious peaceful of the glorious nation.
Rather their action nowadays turns to barbaric, unprofessional and brutal in handling any peaceful vigil walk. They resort to draconian laws to safeguard the serenity and peaceful people of Malaysia.
So how can we trust the Police Force now? How can we abide by the safety of the Police protection? How can we able to view them as a Force to uphold goodness and evil in it mission and vision of the department?
We believe that the police force does need to seek it “independence” from the unindependence world of Malaysia.
Without a strong and good leader the Police Force will continue in it dilution and corruption of the body in justice, honor and truth.
What do you think of our Royal Malaysia Police Force?
I doubt anything favourable will come out of this, unless PR take over federal governmentship
who wanna bet with me? 1 teh tarik halia kow kow
tailik: “regimeās ākorek korek gomen machineriesā of anjing2 polis, AG, ACA & Judges”
Ventura: “The Royal Malaysia Police have general lose it dignity and support from the Malaysian publics. In the eyes of the general publicās of Malaysia they are brutal, violent, unpatriotic, liar and uncompassionate.”
i disagree with these two comments as i think it is absurd, your opinion are rather yours and not by all of us, as you are not appointed to represent us in any way.
i seriously feel uneasy reading those comments as all i see is hatred and anger. But i’m sure if you reach your conscious mind you would reconsider of your writings. I’m sure as an adult there’s a way of voicing out your opinion than rather use such awful word.
sassy doesn’t suit Teresa, at all. Lively sure, spirited? jaunty? STYLISH? i doubt it. I think the proper word would be inelegant or uncouth.
