This morning, I went to the opening of The Market Place, a renovated market in OUG. The opening was officiated by Tengku Adnan, Minister of Federal Territory.
In his speech, Tengku Adnan mentioned about photocopied license by some hawkers in OUG. He blamed this to the gangsters. He then claimed that he was a bigger gangster and he would take action against these illegal hawkers.
In his speech, he again said he would continue to bring development in OUG. For me, I can only say that he forgot to look at the congested roads in the surrounding of the market when he said this.
I noticed that whatever ridiculous statement that Ku Nan made, he would receive cheers and applause from the audience. I then looked back at the audience behind me, I then found out that most of the audience were the MCA die-hard members.

After Tengku Adenan’s speech, he and I were asked to “open” the eyes of a pair of new lion dance teams. Then we walked around the ground floor of the market.
It was a good initiative by the developer to build The Market Place. I hope the dispute among the hawkers can be resolved soon.
