This morning I officiated opening of Selangor Healthy Lifestyle Expo at Shah Alam Convention Centre together with the Menteri Besar of Selangor.
I took the opportunity to announce the latest investment figure that we got from MIDA yesterday, i.e as at August this year, Selangor ranks number ONE in manufacturing investment in Malaysia. The total investment is RM6.9 bn.
The statistics show that Selangor has higher domestic investment (RM5.23 bn) than foreign investment (RM1.66 bn), and we have highest number of industrial projects, i.e 170.
This figure shows that local manufacturing investors are happy with the business environment in Selangor and Malaysia, and they did not send their money abroad.I encourage my friends to come to Shah Alam Convention Centre and visit the booths during this weekend. There are some interesting programmes throughout the Expo here too.
