The “Over-Valued Land Purchase” Raised By Chua Tee Yong Has Been Taken Back By SAP, Why Did He Raise A Non-Issue?

Posted on Saturday, 04-08-2012Saturday, 04-08-2012 by Teresa Kok's Office

Press statement by Teresa Kok, Senior Exco of Selangor, 4th August 2012, at Shah Alam

=====================================================

Yesterday, Chua Tee Yong yet again made another stunning yet baseless allegation. He claimed a Selangor GLC had bought over-valued land in Ulu Yam. The accusation again shows that he did not do homework on the said land.

The previous Selangor BN government alienated the Ulu Yam land to Yayasan Selangor and Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad’s subsidiary SAP Holdings Berhad wherein SAP is the beneficial owner of the alienated lands.

SAP then entered into a joint venture agreement with Talam Corporation’s subsidiary to develop the said Ulu Yam land with condition that the planning layout has to be approved by the authorities.

In view of the said lands are class 3 and class 4 slopes and hence the planning approval is not granted, SAP and Talam have no other option but to end the joint venture agreement.

SAP has never purchased the lands from Talam as the lands are owned by SAP. SAP has taken back the said lands through their lawyers in December 2008.

Chua now put blames of the BN Government’s wrongdoings on the current Pakatan government.

I urge Chua Tee Yong to stop playing game by raising all the non-issues. The more he “exposes”, the more he shows he’s clueless over the whole deal.

I invite him to attend the Selangor briefing on Talam’s debt and water at 10am on Tuesday. 7th August at Shah Alam Convention Centre. If Chua does not accept my invitation as above then it will only confirm further that he is insincere and not wanting to seek the truth but merely playing politics to attract cheap publicity on matters which he himself does not know of or understand.

    They are trying to pin all the baggage they have accumulated over the last five decades on the PR.
    This trend has been going on for a long time!
    But it only makes them more stupid!
    No wonder this country is in such a mess with these corrupted and stupid scums at the helm!!!
    And they are hanging on for the sake of the gravy train.
