Invitation to Public Forum “Section 114A Evidence Act: Crime-busting or Online Control?”

The latest amendment to the Evidence Act 1950 is a threat to our right to freedom of expression online in Malaysia. If you are being investigated for any Internet-related offence, you are presumed guilty and have to prove your innocence, even if it’s posted by someone else.
In response to Section 114(a) of the Evidence Act, the Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) is pleased to invite you to a public forum on this issue. Here are the details:
