On 3rd of May 2012 I attended the launch of “Trees to Green” – a CSR project by I&P Group at Alam Impian, Shah Alam. This event was officiated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah accompanied by Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim. I feel this is a great initiative taken by I&P Group in the effort of caring for the environment. A very strong emphasis was placed by the group CEO YAB Tun Ahmad Sarji Bin Amdul Hamid in protecting mother nature and it was well received by all present there.
A total of 1500 trees from 50 different species, spreading over 31 acres, are planted in Alam Impian. I feel future developments should follow this kind of initiative so that we can ensure a greener future for our next generation.
