After much lobbying to MPSJ, I am very happy to announce that new traffic lights have been installed at the accident-prone Jalan Kinrara for the safety of all residents and motorists. I went to there last Saturday morning to inspect the site.
Together with me was Encik Arifuddin Kamari, Pegawai Jabatan Kejuruteraan of MPSJ in the striped shirt, Gary Chong my assistant at DUN Kinrara in red and Dato Adnan YDP MPSJ in white.

http://thestar.com.my/metro/story.asp?file=/2009/11/24/central/5163794&sec=centralTHREE traffic lights were recently installed at the T-junction in Jalan Kinrara to prevent accidents.
Prakash Malialan, a 35-year-old businessman who has been residing in Kinrara for the past four years, applauded the move as it would benefit residents and road users.
“There are two to three accidents a week, and I’ve witnessed two involving motorcyclists. There was even a fatal accident early this year,” he said during a site visit by Kinrara assemblyman Teresa Kok on Saturday.
Teresa said she, too, had witnessed a few accidents in the area.
Accident-prone junction: The newly-installed traffic lights in Jalan Kinrara.
Also present at the site visit was Subang Jaya Municipal Council president Datuk Adnan Md Ikshan, who said it cost the council RM100,000 to install the traffic lights.
“The traffic lights were installed in late October and are scheduled to begin functioning from Nov 23, once the electric supply is connected,” he said.
When asked why the traffic lights were only installed recently when accidents had been occurring for years, he replied it was due to lack of funds.
Teresa suggested that the TNB land reserve, near Vista Lavender condominium and where the traffic lights were installed, be cleared.
The land reserve is overgrown with weeds and a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
“TNB will have a week to clear the undergrowth or the MPSJ will clear it and send TNB the bill.
“I also suggest that this 1.25 acre (0.51ha) land reserve be used as a parking lot to ease the problem of insufficient parking space,” she said.

good job. keep it up!
Well done!
One particular issue awaiting YB Teresa reply since 308 political tsunami. An access road link between Pusat Bandar Puchong’s Lakeedge and USJ1 should be considered by the state government to construct a bridge. The development in these area has reach to a point whereby Puchong and USJ border is only separated by a small river. If one small bridge is built by MPSJ, this will provide very convenient way between Puchong and USJ. We hope YB respond to our request.
Dear Theresa,
I wish to point out areas that are really, really dirty and in dire need of repairs.
Have you seen the surrounding shop areas near PEarl Hotel ? The roads and pavements are in bad shape. Rubbish strewn everywhere. The eateries operate in dirty surroundings .
Also take a walk at areas like Batu 14, Puchong, near the Klinik Kesihatan. The row of shophouses and eateries operate in such dirty surroundings.
Also have you seen areas like Pinggiran Putra Seksyen 2. These area also dirty and eateries operate in these areas.
These are just some examples of dirty and unkempt surroundings.
Why ? Who takes care of these areas ?
Talk a walk around the areasn in your care and you will see there is much to do.
Have you been to Malacca ?
The place is well maintained and clean.
Hats off to CM of Malacca Ali Rustam.
