PETALING JAYA: The family of Raymond Koh, the pastor abducted here on Feb 13, has offered a RM10,000 reward for information leading to his return, reports NST Online today.
“I would like to appeal to those who have taken my husband to return him safe and unharmed to me and my children.
“I would also like to appeal to any eye witnesses to come forward.
“I would also like to offer a reward amounting to a maximum of RM10,000 for information leading to the rescue of my dear husband.
“Please WhatsApp Jonathan at 01139732670,” says a message from Koh’s wife, Susanna Liew Sow Yoke, 61, circulated on social media.
Jonathan is the couple’s 32-year-old son.
Also in the message was Liew’s description of her husband’s abductors.
“They were masked. The abduction was professionally and deftly executed, taking less than 60 seconds.”
Liew said one of the masked figures calmly filmed the abduction as it occurred while others re-directed traffic. At least five masked men were involved, according to witnesses.
“The abductors had money, or were backed by money, or by an organisation with money as the cars they used were expensive SUVs, at least one of which was a black Toyota Alphard.
“The abduction was planned, timed and executed at an opportune moment, which suggests that they were waiting for my husband, who drives an old silver Honda Accord bearing number plate ST 5515 D.”
Police have confirmed that Koh was reported to have been snatched in Jalan SS4b/10, less than 100 metres away from the Kompleks Perumahan Polis, here, at about 10.30am on Feb 13.
According to his wife, Koh had left home in Section 16 to go to Puncak Damansara Condominium in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, but had decided to stop at a friend’s house in Kelana Jaya to deliver some belacan.
He was last seen wearing a polo neck beige t-shirt and dark grey pants.
A message claiming that Koh had been found appeared on social media shortly afterwards, but the Koh family on Thursday said it was a cruel hoax and the pastor was still missing.
