I was appointed as one of the Vice Chairs of the party. After the announcement of the results, some journalists asked me for comment on my position as I am the second female Vice Chair of the DAP in party history, the first was Dr Oon Hong Geok. I said this is a relief for me from the hectic job as Publicity Secretary. I told them that the CEC practises collective leadership and it was important for all CEC members to work together as a team to build the party.
I told them that I will help the party to raise fund for party HQ building fund, and I will also assist the party in the publicity department. I see these two items are crucial for the party in the next few years, i.e. to strengthen our publicity department and to have a party HQ of our own.
We welcome Tunku Aziz
I also must say that the CEC members are indeed very pleased with Tunku Aziz becoming a DAP member and being made Vice Chairman of the party. Yes, the DAP needs to be more multi-racial in our outlook and we need to get closer to the Malay community, to clarify many misconception in the minds of the Malays, especially those who understand the world under the propaganda of UMNO and Utusan Malaysia.
Tunku Aziz is not new to DAP rank and files. He has been invited by the party to speak on many occasions. I am glad that Tunku Aziz finally decided to join the DAP. I hope that his move will encourage more Malays to join us in months and years to come.

YB Teresa Kok,
Congratulations to you for being elected to the CEC with such a high number of votes, and also as one of the vice chairmen of DAP.
YB Kok,
Congratulations to you on the appointment. The fact that Tunku chose DAP over PKR is a testament to DAP.
Read a bit about Uncle Lim’s book, “Malaysia in the dangerous 1980’s” and what he stood for then is still what he stands for now.
Compared to the current PM who can be inconsistent at times, or DSAI who was once the establishment but now
on the other side of the equation, DAP can claim to be consistent.
In fact in the book “Malaysian Politicians say the darnest things” Uncle Lim and DAP stalwarts were not featured hence we can see, how difficult it is to find “quotable quotes” from DAP politicians over the past 3 decades. Some might argue that it is because until recently, DAP is not featured in MSM but then again all PAS controversial remarks have been consistently featured.
Congrats to u on the CEC election.
Keep up your good work madam.
