KENYATAAN AKHBAR

12 NOV 2010

UPDATED with unofficial English translation: (6.21pm)

There are several versions of the report regarding the answer given by the Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Khalid, concerning the issue of construction of temples while answering the question raised by ADUN of Dusun Tua, Ibrahim Sani, during the S’gor State Assembly session yesterday.
The S’gor State Govt wishes to clarify its stand on the building of temples and other places of worship, that is:
– The construction of places of worship has to be carried out in a planned manner and in accordance with government guidelines, to ensure the satisfaction of all parties involved
– New housing projects that are planned to be built in S’gor must take into account the existence of temples and other places of worship that are already existing on or nearby to the development site.
If developers fail to take into account existing places of worship near the development site, or at least come up with a detailed plan to shift the place of worship which is agreed to by all parties, development approval will not be granted.
Since July 2008, the S’gor State Gov’t has approved 30 land grants to Hindu temples whilst 15 more are still awaiting Exco approval to be gazetted.
Any application to build places of worship must be studied in-depth and every approval given is subject to land availability, suitability of location and the needs of the local residents.
The media report which alleges that the Pakatan Rakyat government does not take into account temples and other places of worship in approving development projects is untrue.
The MB’s Office Press Secretary was on duty during the State Assembly sitting and is ready to provide further explanation if there is any confusion.

Thank you, Teresa. This is what I call a transparency government. This is the way to counter lies by Umno bastards and their bastardised press like the New Shit Times and Utusuan Shit Malaysia. We have had enough of Toyo’s Umno shit and lies. We have had enough of their chicanery and subterfuge. We shall drive them to the sea in the next election. We shall make each and every Umno, MCA and MIC bastard lose his pants. We shall turn Selangor into a no-opposition zone, to quote this idiot by the name of Toyol.

I am aghast by the way Murali of PKR confronted you with regard to the Hindu temple issue. The way he put forward his grievances sounded as though Pakatan is as bad, if not worse, than UMNO, where temple demolition has become part of their KRA. If Pakatan is really that unthoughtful, has he ever pause to think for a moment how Tan Sri Khalid and YB Khalid Samad stood up to the mob at a town hall meeting with threats to their lives with regard to the re-location of a Hindu temple to serve the needs of the Hindus? Even a Muslim lady Exco member was threatened with a rape. Yet despite all these, Tan Sri Khalid still went ahead with his relocation plans. I wonder whether we are better or worse off with a person like Murali who is nothing more than an MIC trojan, thuggish and racist in every sense of the word.
