Good news for Puchong residents! Today (3 October 2011), I was very happy to announce that the state government of Selangor has approved school land application by SJKC Yak Chee, SMJK Catholic and Persatuan Autisme Malaysia (for an autistic school).
All three pieces of land are located in the Taman Tasik Prima area in Puchong.
Our Selangor State Secretary has already written a letter to the Ministry of Education expressing the Selangor State Government’s support for the building of these three schools. Hope that the Ministry of Education will quickly approve the building of these schools to cope with the high demand and need for SJKC schools.
Very encouraging to note all Selangor Pakatan MB and MP’s working very hard for the rakyat! Kudos to all of you!!!
where is the new location?
Under Toyo, none of this could have happened. We are very glad the Pakatan government has continued to listen to the people irrespective of race or creed. I hope the next election will see the complete evisceration of Umno and its lackeys
3 cheers for Teresa and the DAP.
Approval for all schools should be done as of right and according to demand and not turned into a contentious and racial issue as the BN government has consistently done. Our children are our future and should not be turned into a political football. Hurray for the Selangor Pakatan state government whom we sincerely hope will be re-elected !!!
I’m frankly appalled by the idea of a SMJK Katholik 2.
As an alumnus of CHS, building a new CHS does not mean anything. CHS was built by Catholic Missionaries and is closely linked to St. Francis Xavier church. (The Jesuit Fathers stayed with the Marist Brothers during the building of the Church, CHS is the venue of St. Francis Xavier Church’s sunday school, the Jesuit Fathers celebrate mass in the school, etc.)
Can CHS2 replicate this? I don’t think so.
Would it be possible to replicate the missionary ethos with the foundation of a Catholic High School by the secular authorities?
What is the point of a “Missionary school” without the presence, no matter how small of the Marist Brothers who as a product of their CHSPJ education too have joined the order and still remain teachers (in their capacity as Marist Brothers).
Will there too be a statue of St. Marcellin Champangat?
Will there too be a Brother Phillipe Wu (Founding Brother and 1st Principal of CHS) Hall?
Can the school erect a prominent cross on the frontage of the school?
Can Catholic Students express their faith publicly like the current CHS Catholic students?
If all these conditions cannot be replicated, trying to name a new Chinese High School SMJK Katholik 2 would just be very sad indeed.
darn, some people dying of thirst in the Sahara will still complain the water from the rescue time is too cold
