You might be wondering why I haven’t blogged for quite some time. It is because life has been very busy with many interesting things happening.
I have moved in to my new office premise three weeks ago. I was supposed to move my office at the end of December last year but was held back by the delay in signing of the Sales and Purchase Agreement and application of bank loan.
It is really a big hassle to move an office, especially an office which I have not really organised for the past seven years at 4A, Jalan Sepadu, Taman United, Kuala Lumpur. Not that many people are interested or have time to help you to move office, cos many people have phobia of moving house or moving office. This include some of my own members. That’s why I need to register my sincere thanks to all those who have rendered their assistance to me on the shiftiing of my new office.
My office sign board was up after a week of my shifting. Then a member pointed out a mistake in the new signboard where the word “democratic” (民主,pronouciation is ‘min zhu’) is missing from the Chinese words. When I wrote the wordings for the signboard manufacturer, I put “士布爹行动党“. This is the short form of DAP that appears in all Chinese papers. A member then asked me, if the word “democratic” is missing from the sighboard, then where do we stand? At first I brushed this question aside and told him that to have shorter name is better as it is easier for people to recognise us and read our signboard. I was then advised by Tan Kok Wai to put the full party name in signboard, ie: “士布爹民主行动党“. Well, no choice, we have to take down the signboard and correct the mistake, which also means more money is going to spend to correct my silly mistake.
This is the first party office which is purchased by the DAP in Kuala Lumpur. I wish to thank all who contributed to the purchase of this service centre, as it is impossible for me to raise so much fund to purchase the premise. I borrowed RM130K from the bank and the loan period is 15 years. The interests come to about RM65,000. This means if I drag my feet to pay back the loan, the total amount incur will be about RM210K. It is really a lot for poor me.
So my greatest wish now is to pay the loan back as early as possible, hopefully I can do it in five years time or less. If you wish to help me or DAP Seputeh to settle our bank loan, please send us a cheque under the name of “DAP Cawangan Seputeh” or deposit into our bank account at May Bank at Jalan Mega Mendung. The account number is: 5-14235-464557. For those who bank in cheque to our bank account, please kindly fax the bank-in slip to us at: 03-7983 7576.
U moved from Tmn.United. What is the new address, now?
