Fire and death threat at 4th Mile Old Klang Road

Posted on Thursday, 03-03-2011Monday, 07-03-2011 by -ec-

27.02.2011 – At 12am I received a call from RT Chairman Tan Kim Ba that his house and neighbours’ houses were burnt down by fire that started at around 11.30pm. I arrived at 12.15am to meet the victims and look into the situation. About 7 houses were burnt down, thankfully no one was hurt by the fire.

Met some of the fire victims and consoled them. It grieves me to see so many families homeless tonight.

I asked a bomba man on duty if there was foul play, they said still investigating the cause of fire. Just as I finished asking the bomba man, RT Chairman Tan Kim Ba received an anonymous call at his mobile phone threatening to kill his whole family. Terrible! I took him to Balai Polis Bergerak to make police report.

Also met a few Chinese Press reporters and their photographers who were dutifully on site at that hour. Told the reporters about the situation and that government department like Jabatan Kebajikan should contact the fire victims to offer aid. DBKL rescue team was on site too. I gathered the fire victims and asked them to register their details with the team so that DBKL can allocate them a place to stay as soon as possible. i am planning to help them to write a letter to the mayor to appeal for houses for them. I told them to contact my Seputeh Service Centre for any further assistance.

I hope organisations and people will step forward to help the fire victims, offer their aid in cash or in kind. Those who are interested kindly contact my Seputeh Service Centre at: 28-3A, 4th Floor, Sri Desa Entrepreneur’s Park, Jalan 1/116B, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur. Tel: 03-7983 6768.

Way to go Theresa, keep up the good work, we need you when PR marches to Putrajaya just so that we don’t face another fiasco like the recent PKR election. God Bless
