DAP celebrates 42nd Birthday with stunning victories

Posted on Friday, 04-04-2008 by DAP Seputeh

The DAP elected MPs and ADUNs gathered in Penang one week after the general elections.

The GE result is the best gift for the DAP which reached the age of 42.

This is Grrls Power contingent. The DAP has 15 woman elected reps, of whom four are MPs, I think we have highest number of woman elected reps.

This is our Barisan from DAP Sabah. We managed to win one Parliament and one state seat. The woman in baju kurung is Shanti Chong. She was the candidate in Sandakan, she is a well known judge and activist in Sabah, she is a very interesting woman. She lost due to postal votes and has filed a election petition. I hope she will win so that we can have a vocal woman in Parliament.

happy birthday to DAP and my wish for it is that in future, there are more diverse racial representation with Malays, Indians, Sikhs, Eurasians, Portugese, KadazanDusun, Bajaus, Siamese, Dayaks, Jakuns, Negritos, retired angmo on Malaysia My 2nd Home, marooned martians etc.

    Diversity is our strength,

    DAP truly Asia/Malaysia

Nice to see Dr Chen is still going strong. I hope he is pleased to see what DAP achieved today. May he have a healthy and happy days ahead.

Mr. Lim, Karpal and him gave a life time to DAP, even before I was born. These are true giants of the Malaysian political and human rights scene.

A lot of titles have been given to lesser beings and this has probably devalued the prestage of such titles.

The last of true tribute was for Tan Sri Tan Cheen Koon. Well if LGE does not want one, it is fine as it would be inappropriate to put him in the same category as some individuals, in my opinion, not in the same league as him

First of all Congrat! for winning March 0308 and also for being accorded the portfolio Selangor Investment, Industry and Commerce chief.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but today I saw something which I don’t like and I wanted to comment on it.

I was reading Malaysiakini news http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/80935 and It was mention there that you have six full-time staff. What was disturbing to me is that all the girls there were Chinese.

I know we educate that we should employ the cat that can catch the rat and not just because it’s a black or white cat. So my argument is DIDN’T YOU FIND A SINGLE BLACK or BROWN CAT THAT CAN CATCH THE RAT or YOU JUST LOOK FOR THE WHITE CAT ONLY.

Indian voted out BN because of discrimation.
We Indian face problem being discrimated in Public Sector because the BN Gov give most of the job to Bumi, with NEP policy. In Private Sector the Chinese tend to employ chinese to higher position in management, in fact they have legal way of doing it, in the job requirement and Add. they will state ” MANDARIN SPEAKING A MUST “. So if you are an Engineer then forever you are there, you will not become and Manager or move up the ranks.

So Indians voted for you –> you become state investment chief –> you increase the business of chinese and they make more $$$ –> they employe more chinese and get better pay. So what happens to the INDIANS ????????

So please, be a role model. Don’t look at skin color, give everybody a chance. Make sure also that what ever investment you bring into Selangor benefit all races. Not just some chinese tauke and their chinese workers.

Sorry for the spelling mistake, accidently published it before I could do the check.

    Finally, God Bless.

    /Joshua

    Agree with Lee Wee Tak,

I wish to see more multiracial members from Sabah in DAP.

The time for racial politics is OVER in Malaysia.

Any more rascist stuff and keris welding fanatics shall be buried forever.

Rakyats please throw them all out next election.

Also, I hope Shanty Chong, being a very experience lawyer and ex judge will file the election petition and expose the dirty election tactics that is well known especially in Sabah

I am so so so so so proud of you guys. DAP has everyone in the lineup from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 08s. As someone from the 60s politics, I am heartened to see stewards like LKS, Karpal, Chen Man Hin are still there for the new generation to witness what they have been struggling about all these years. Pity people like Goh Hock Guan, Lee Lam Thye, Sepang Hu and Yap Pian Hon are unable to attend this party bash. Oh my God, I didn’t realise DAP have so many lasses and all of them are a real sight for sore eyes. Very pretty indeed.

Forget to add in one more thing. Did you notice that Patto, Ahmad Nor and V David were also there, cheering and smiling. God bless their souls for the sacrifices made.
