On Deepavali day, I got up bright and early to begin my open house visiting. Here I am at Bala’s home (the man in white sitting on my left). Bala is my helpful assistant at my Kinrara Service Center.
Next, I went to Puchong to visit Govindan (in the blue batik shirt) and his lovely wife (the Chinese lady beside me). Govindan is one of our DAP strongmen in Puchong. As I was leaving, I was pleasantly surprised when he presented me with an ang pow and an apple, as it is a Chinese custom.
Then, I went to visit Datuk Marimuthu, who is the President of FOMCA (Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations) ‘s. He is the gentleman in pink. The lady in blue is Chuah Mei Lin from The Association of Banks in Malaysia. On the far right is Tan Sri Robert Phang, who until recently was an EXCO of Transparency International Malaysia. He has been very vocal on the PKFZ scandal.
Next I visited DAP member Appu in Klang.
And then I visited Ganesan (in white). Standing are his wife in green and his mother-in-law in red.
At night, I went to Pangsapuri Enggang, Jalan Kinrara 6F for the residents’ Program Bersama Penduduk for Raya and Deepavali. This area is actually not located within my Kinrara constituency but the constituency of DUN Sri Serdang under YB Dato Satim (UMNO). Nevertheless the residents invited me to enter their area and I was honoured to be there.
The man in blue standing beside me is the pengerusi of the Persatuan Penduduk. And the gentleman in the pink baju melayu is the secretary. He is a PKR member.
Once again, a Happy Deepavali to all!
