After series of attacks and criticism from DAP Sabah and I in the Parliament over the carving of Barisan’s MP Yee Moh Chai’s name on the benches near the drains in Kota Kinabalu, the KK MP Yee Moh Chai finally showed up in the Parliament on Monday.
Of course, he did not come to Parliament to speak. Rather, he came to register his presence as I have repeatedly told the media in Sabah that he hardly attend Parliament sittings let alone speak for his constituents.
Some of the Sabahan MPs are happy to hear me whacking him over his ego trip and waste of public fund. However, they are polite to him when they saw him. When Yee Moh Chai came to Parliament, I teased him over the issue. He was very “thick-face” and told me and other Sabahan MPs that he was very honoured to be named and criticised by me over this issue.
He said, “Now Sabahans know that I have used the MPs’ allocation wisely for the benefits of my constituents.” I then suggested he carve his name on the toilet bowl, so that people who use the toilet will see his name on it too. 🙂
Actually whenever I speke on Sabah issues, BN MPs in the state always have love-hate attitude towards me. They are happy when an opposition MP raised issues in their state, but on the other hand, they are also worried the DAP may be making inroads in Sabah and this might threaten their seats.
At the end of Parliament sitting on Monday, I suggested to Yee Moh Chai and a few Sabahan MPs that we hae a group photo taken.
From left: Wilfred Tangau (MP for Tuaran), Anifah (deputy minister of plantation and commodities, Sassy MP and Yee Moh Chai (MP for KK).
I tried to pose a ‘thumb down’ hand sign when photo was taken but was stopped by Anifah. No choice, so I can only laugh when I posed with them lah 🙁
Sabah is a very lovely state, and the people deserved better representation for all the terrible “rubbish” they have to bear with.
What to do. Like out former prime minister said, the cabinet is made up of half past six ministers, so nothing much is expected from their MPs as well. The government should record those MPs who ‘ponteng’ and fail to attend parliment session and deduct their salary and claims. Say no to “Makan gaji buta punya MP”
The saying “you get what you give” holds ever so true here. In other words if the people keep giving the same BN power over and over again, don’t expect to get anything different.
It’s like doing the same thing but expecting a different result.
test b4 comment!
You did good work but need more hardworking comrade rather than those ‘pooping around’ in Dayeh coffee shop…every morning!
They have many matter to look into…. never make a second mistake like DAP in Sabah before!
