IGP should stop being political lapdog

Posted on Friday, 22-05-2009Friday, 22-05-2009 by DAP Seputeh

The police must release immediately without condition Teratai assemblyman Jenice Lee and 16 others who were arrested for leading a candlelight vigil near her service centre in Ampang last night. The vigil was to mourn the death of democracy in Perak.

This is the second time in three days that the police have stalked and detained Jenice. On Tuesday night, Jenice and Serdang Member of Parliament Teo Nie Ching were arrested, also for holding a candlelight vigil, near my Seputeh service centre.

The police must stop this act of harassment immediately. It is a mockery for our law and order when the police are going around arresting wakil rakyat and concerned citizens while the crime rate rockets right under their nose.

Jenice and other concerned Malaysians are merely exercising their rights within the confine of democracy and freedom. What rights have the police to bully Malaysians who crave for true democracy and justice?

According to witnesses and video evidence, the police were very rough and rude in the handling of the arrests. Is this the message the police are trying to tell the whole country and whole world – that this government does not tolerate democracy and justice?

The police are supposed to protect Malaysian citizens, not abuse them. It is also wrong to mishandle and abuse our women wakil rakyat who are doing their best to serve the people.

The Inspector-General of Police should stop being a political lapdog and put into practice that the police are not the bodyguards of any political party.

Member of Parliament for Seputeh

What more can we say about our men-in-blue? They act biasedly and become tools for their BN political masters. Their reputation right now, sad to say, is rotten to the core!

This PIG ..oopps…IGP should have resigned long time ago. He and his men actions are so biased that anyone in his/her right mind would know that they are just running dogs of the current BN politicians.
Instead of spending their energy and time arresting criminals, murderers, etc.. it is really amazing that they do otherwise like catching and locking up innocents who try to knock some common sense into the current crop of political numbskulls in BN.
These guys are supposed to protect the rakyat and maintain law and order. Yet their actions proved otherwise.
They have made a mockery of the current police force to the whole world.

    Teresa,
I am a dog lover and this IGP and his men are not dogs. To equate them with dogs is a compliment. Dogs are faithful, obedient and loving animals.

This IGP and his men are snakes, vultures, hyenas, lizards and pigs.

As I mentioned b4, M’sia is similar to Myanmar
    under BN military regime.

See! now they raid DAP’S office in PJ without warrant.

So…. any difference? sama sama gunung didaki sama sama … remember the song i cant remember the group but I think the singer is SEHA who already passed away after battling with cancer.

    May God bless her soul!

PDRM is supposed to protect the safety of the rakyat ,but it now seems they are now abusing their power and working for the interests of a political party only. Very few people have kind words for our mata-mata nowadays. Most people can guess why our law-enforcers are behaving the way they are.
