Ever since the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat Tan Sri Ramli Ngah criticised me for bringing the issue within the house to outside (meaning I commented to media and in my blog) and echoed by the MP for Muar, Razali Ibrahim, my blog has somehow become a topic of talk among the BN MPs. 🙂
After the comment made by the Speaker, I took the initiative to tell the MP for Muar and other UMNO MPs about the latest on my blog. I reminded them to read my blog each time I met them at Parliament lobby, and I even carried my laptop computer to show them my blog and asked them to read. LOL
When they criticised me for bringing up the issues in the Dewan Rakyat to my blog, I told them that the BN controlled TV and all mainstream media, I have no or very little chance to appear in “Parlimen Hari Ini” or “Selamat Pagi Malaysia” or TV news, thus, the only way I can express myself is through my blog. How come they can’t even take this?
I also told them whatever happen in the Dewan Rakyat will be observed by all and will be reported in the media anytime. We are like the gold fish in the transparent fish tank, so why can’t I say my piece on my blog? Is our Parliament the chamber of secrets like the one in Harry Porter?
I also asked them how come they don’t protest against the blog of MP for Ipoh Timur (Kit Siang) but made noise against my blog? Why the double standard? They then became speechless.
Today, when I delivered my off-the-cuff speech on the budget of Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, I was disturbed by Idris Haron, the UMNO MP for Tangga Batu, where the controversial pig farms in Paya Mengkuang are located. He is quite a rough person, he always disturb me and when I deliver my speech and I always did the same to him when he spoke, cos he sits near to my seat in the Dewan Rakyat.
When I delivered my speech during the session that chaired by Lim Si Cheng, I questioned about allocation of the ministry to Mayang that is set up in each Parliamentary constituency. I said I have never heard of Mayang. I only heard about it when the BN MPs mentioned about it in their speeches just now. I just know there is Taman Mayang in PJ Utara, how come other BN MPs can be the chairperson of Mayang that help the unfortunate whereas we MPs in the opposition constituencies have never been informed about that?
When I started to make a fuss on this issue, the MP of Tangga Batu Idris Haron started to interject my speech. He purportedly mentioned about me writing bad things about Parliament in my blog. He repeated himself and tried to use his voice to cover my voice.
Chong Eng tried to argue with him, but I just kept quiet. Lim Si Cheng then asked me to wind up my speech after some of the BN guys did so, I then said, “I hope what has been said by YB Tangga Batu, Idris Haron will appear in the TV news tonight, so that more people will come to read my blog”. I then continued with other subjects in my speech. I have to quickly complete my speech because the volume of impatient grumbling from the MPs of BN was getting louder.
However, before I ended my speech, again I asked the MP of Tangga Batu to read my blog, and I purposely spoke through the mike, before I sat down.
Sassy MP, well done!
“….he always disturb me ….”….”…he sits near to my seat ….”. Hmmmmmm. He’s got a crush on you-la, Sassy MP. He’s trying desperately to get your attention and interest. Wedding bells soon?
“…writing bad things about Parliament in my blog”… If what you wrote is factual, then why is it “bad”? Are MPs saying “bad” things if not untruthful and fanciful things?
What the heck then is this mysterious “Mayang” thing that we all do not know about but on which huge sums are allocated and spent? Is it “entertainment expenses” for jolly-jolly?
Si Cheng, the “clock”, seems subdued now. Is he behaving?
Don’t MPs get an allowance or something to buy computers so that among other things, they can blog or read other people’s blog, if not use them in their work? They know how to use computers?
