The despicable act threatening the life of Siti Kasim, lawyer and activist is a new low for cowards who when faced with a difference in opinion, will resort to anything – in this case to harm her life. It is indeed shocking that such a thing that has happened in Malaysia. Malaysia is not a rogue state and no Malaysian should accept this dirty tactic to harm someone.
I stand with Siti Kasim on the side of justice, integrity and the courage to speak fearlessly.
One may have a different opinion from Siti Kasim but to go to the extent of sending her a message that her life is in danger is an imminent threat to anyone who speaks out against bigotry, racism, sexism and tyranny.
I am glad that PDRM and the bomb squad were fast to respond to the discovery of the IED devices which were placed beneath Siti Kasim’s care and had been detonated safely elsewhere. The assurance given by Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain saying “not under my watch” is certainly comforting and I trust the perpetrators will be nabbed in no time.
No one, who has a difference of opinion, no matter how provocative should receive a death threat like this and Siti Kasim, like everyone else deserves protection of the law.
I am grateful that Siti Kasim was unharmed in this disgusting act of cowardice and I send my support and my solidarity with her.

（吉隆坡22 日讯）士布爹区国会议员郭素沁强烈谴责在人权律师西蒂卡欣车子底下置放炸弹的恐怖行径。她说，这种向异议份子使用暴力的卑鄙手段，是全马来西亚人民应该同声谴责的事。
她说，“很明显的，西蒂卡欣是因为勇于捍卫弱势群体和敢怒敢言，才遭到敌对者这般对待。”
我很高兴警方和拆弹部队以迅速的行动搜出置于西蒂卡欣车子底下的土质炸弹。吉隆坡总警长的说法让人欣慰和安心。
在6州选举即将举行的当儿，我呼吁所有的候选人和支持者经常保持警惕，以防止任何类似西蒂卡欣遭遇发生在任何领袖身上。
我希望警方会在短期内将犯案份子逮捕，也希望警方能在这6州选举中加强各政党竞选活动的保安工作。
