Tonight I came to pay respect to the late Bock Tai Hee (莫泰熙），a well respected teacher and chinese educationist in Xiao En Center in Cheras.
The late Cikgu Bock had dedicated his whole life to the mother tongue education in Malaysia. Without the sacrifice and dedication of Cikgu Bock and many other educationists, we won’t enjoy the fruits of the chinese education today.
I met Bakri MP Sdr Tan Hong Pin and his team members in the wake service. He and his team will stay a night in KL and join the funeral service tomorrow morning.
A number of Mr Bock’s friends shared about his life stories. They talked about his values and his passion for education, and also how Bock had impacted their lives.
Renowned song composer Chow Kam Leong (周金亮) sang two meaningful songs about mother tongue education in the memorial service.
Rest In Peace Cikgu Bock. We thank you for your sacrifice and contribution to education. You will forever be remembered by many.
