This morning I attended the briefing to the MPs (especially new MPs) by parliament staffs in the Parliament.
I was happy to see all the MPs of both political divides. Now former BN ministers become backbenchers and many backbenchers (including me) become ministers or deputy ministers now.
We were happy to see certain MPs were still around as we thought some of us could have lost in the elections, and we shook hand and hugged each other even though we were from “opposing parties”.
I saw the Bagan Serai MP who has just quit UMNO, and some hero and heroins who toppled giants of UMNO/BN in last GE.
It is good to see all the new faces and old faces who have survived in the tough battle in May.
It is great for us (PH) to change seats with BN in the Dewan Rakyat this time. I hope all MPs can work together to bring reform in various policies in the country in the parliament.
