Today I took a few party members to do signature campaign on Citizen’s Declaration at the OUG night market in my constituency.
For those who expressed interest to sign the declaration, I guided them to fill the form by asking them to write down their names and IC numbers in the forms.
When I asked them to put today’s date. I repeated the chinese slogan of GE13: 5th of May, change the government (五月五，换政府).
I suddenly felt very sad as I repeated this old slogan. Today is the 3rd anniversary of GE13. The political and economic situation of the country has gone from bad to worse. The civil liberty rights of the people have been eroded even more.
Tun Mahathir has to leave UMNO and worked with the opposition parties and NGOs to oust PM Najib, and 1MDB has made the country famous internationally.
I hope and pray the Sarawakian will not be blinded by the Adenan Fever and money politics, and forget about the importance of check and balance in the state assembly of Sarawak in this state election. We Malaysians must continue the efforts and hope to bring Change and Transformation in this nation.
