Yesterday I organised a protest with the residents and shop owners of Pekan Salak Selatan against the high road divider which is under construction in that narrow main road.
Nobody knows why DBKL demolishe’d the old road divider and made a two-feet-high road divider In that narrow road. It was done without consultation with the people along that road, and has caused great inconvenience for the people there to cross the road.
After I have done the press conference with the people, I sent the protest photos by whatsapps to DBKL officers and to the mayor. two hours later, a DBKL officer called me and he agreed to go to the site with me to inspect the situation on Friday.
Hopefully the high road divider can be demolished later.
But why no discussions with the residents in the first place?
Isn’t that a no brainer?
