Taman Desa is an upper middle class area in my Seputeh Parliament constituency. It is a predominantly Chinese area.
The residents’ association of Taman Desa (TDRA) is one of the best residents’ associations in Seputeh Parliamentary constituency. On 16th October 2008, TDRA organised a Hari Raya open house and I was invited to attend. Here are some pics:
TDRA committee members were very pleased that the open house was attended by many Muslims in the area. One of them told me that it was the first time so many Malays attended their function.

Greetings Miss Kok,
it is hearthening to see that you are back in stride after your ordeal under detention. It was a huge relief to see you finally released. I believe your efforts in serving the people in selangor will not be in vain despite the nasty rumours from the previous regime. Holding more multiracial gatherings and joint initiatives with other PR representatives will definitely help build a more united society here. Let it be seen that you serve all malaysians equitably.
the mainstream media instead on echoing BN propaganda and spreading exciting articles (yes, you, dear Utusan); should highlight the stories such as the shelter home for AIDS so that
1) people who can help know where to go to
2) people who needs help know there to go to
instead of wasting column inches for that good for nothing author and crap fiction about Josephine and suicide bomber wannabe
the more I see, the more I like
Teresa leading the fight to change DAP’s image and counter UMNO’s claim that DAP is a Chinese only party.
People tend to forget there are many Indians there too.
My wish is that Zaid Ibrahim might join Tunku Abdul Aziz in DAP. To survive the new political landscape, this is the way forward
