Police practising double standards

Posted on Friday, 17-10-2008 by Teresa Media

NST

THE police are practising double standards when they deal with reports lodged by the public, Teresa Kok (DAP-Seputeh) stated in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

She said the police did not take long to haul her up under the Internal Security Act purely on rumours and malicious reporting.

“They never called me to the police station to question me. Instead, they arrested me under the ISA,” she said during the debate on the budget.

However, she said, the reports she had lodged against Utusan Malaysia remained just that, while another report by Dr Maria Mahmood (Pas-Kota Raja) against the former Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Dr Khir Toyo was gathering dust.

“What is the status of these reports? Are they going to investigate them?”
Kok touched on the controversial “YB J” short story published in Mingguan Malaysia last weekend. In the story, YB J, the principal character, is a politician who takes a stand against Islam and is shot at a political gathering.

The story is alleged to mirror events surrounding Kok’s recent problem with the authorities.

She called on the Home Ministry to haul up the publisher for inciting violence.

“We know who it is aimed at despite scepticism from one BN MP (Datuk Bung Moktar Radin).

“The article asked for me to be shot and encourages violence against an MP.”

Kok called for action against the writer, Datuk Chamil Wariya.

“A show-cause letter should be issued,” she said.

Looks like the police are dragging their feet if reports are lodged against the government or their cronies. Maybe they are under orders from their political masters to delay investigation on these reports. There must be neutral and fair from whoever lodge the reports and not be selective to the detriment of the complainants. The said Malay daily is known for its biased and racial reports and full of venom for the Opposition. Looks like it is above the law!

The only way, albeit the one and only way, to stop this nonsense, is to boot out UMNO/BN.
In this case the end will justify the means.
    And the faster the better.

It is time for Suara Keadilan, Roket, Harakah to be widely printed and circulated into the heartland where alternative for news channels are hitherto, restricted.

The distribution channels should be widen and at RM2 per copy, I am sure the folks there could find it affordable.

Otherwise why not these newspapers, after being purchased and read in major cities, be collected and then been given free to such areas?

AS I have said, with that arrogant, pea brain baldie toad running the HM, what do you expect from our “efficient” police force.
Just look at the msm today, the police are so scared…… that they have to shift their pondok to another so called “bigger” place so they can do a “better” job?????????
Anyone in his/her right mind will not buy their reasoning. If we have gutless and insecure bums protecting us what do you expect. I guess the rakyat should protect these bums who are supposed to protect us instead. If this is not double standards then I do not know what. Real bolehland.

Meanwhile we are still waiting what actions have been taken for the reports on the garbage reporting paper UM, that racialistic “pendatang” KT and the brainless baldie toad to name a few. It has been months and NOTHING has been done except “we are investigating” as usual. But when there are reports on the opposition and innocent rakyat, you can bet to expect our “efficient” force immediate response. This is reality at the present moment in bolehland.
I know people like Teresa in DAP, PR and PAS who represent us will do their best so that the rakyat can have a better place to call home.
AS for these bums running the country, just hope PKR to keep on whacking some sense into their racialistic and corrupted numbskulls.
Remember we have not lost faith as we know there are unselfish people out there trying to fulfil our hope and dreams.
