Today DAP Women’s section has successfully organized its first national congress. Although I am not holding any position in DAP Wanita, I am happy to see the quorum of the congress was met and there were not enough chairs for the delegates and observers.
The presence of the former DAP Women’s chief, Mdm Tan Chooi Shui was a surprise to all. She is the wife to Chiang Heng Kai, the late veteran cum former MP of the party.
YB Dr Siti Mariah attended the opening of the congress as the representative of Amanah.
Congratulations to all the candidates who have been democratically elected. This is a good start, more works to be done in the coming years.
