Today the DAP leaders had a press conference to launch the campaign of “Pantang Undur”: Kempen Solidariti Bersama Kit Siang”. I am the campaign committee chairperson. We are going to have series of programmed to protest against the suspension of Lim Kit Siang from attendinf the parliament sitting and to spread the message of RM2.6 billion of the so-called political donation into the personal account of Najib.
Below is my comments in the press conference:—
Prime Minister Najib must personally answer 1 MDB questions in Parliament on November 16 if as claimed by the government that “there is nothing to hide and be afraid of”

On November 4, Minister in the PM’s Department in charge of parliamentary affairs Datuk Azalina Othman Said told the media that the government would reply on the controversial RM2.6 billion “donation” that went into Najib’s personal bank accounts on the last day of the 25-day budget meeting on Dec. 3.
Two questions that need to be immediately raised are:-
1. Why must the reply be on Dec 3?
2. Why is there no commitment that the Prime Minister will be doing the reply?
The controversial RM 2.6 billion “ donation “ and the mega scandals have been the major topics of conversation of the rakyat for the last few months, any responsible government ought to have provided full and satisfactory answers to the people.
This government has failed to do though it has been claiming that “there is nothing to hide” about 1 MDB.
Parliament is the highest legislative and political chamber in the land, and the government must show its respect for parliament by providing full, immediate and satisfactory answers to the MPs.
Azalina’s announcement that the reply will be on Dec 3 is therefore unacceptable and even perplexing.
If the government wants MPs and the people to believe that for the government, there is nothing to hide and that there is nothing to be afraid of”, then the Prime Minister must personally answer the questions and issues on 1 MDB on November 16.
When Parliament resume son November 16 after the Deepavali break, it will be the last day of the three day Ministerial winding up of the 2016 Budget debate. This is the day that Najib should be in Parliament to answer the questions and issues.
Azalina may think her role is to shield her boss, but Najib should show that he does not need any shielding from her
