Today is All Souls Day. This is the day for Christians to visit the graves of relatives and friends, and to pray for their souls.
My family members and I had visited my grandma’s grave yesterday afternoon at the Cheras Christian cemetery.
I went with my youngest brother Sam and his two kids. When we were in the car, we explained to my 5-year-old nephew Cheng En the reason we were going to visit my grandma’s grave. Cheng En asked me whether he had met my grandma and how she looked like.
He then asked whether our visit was to wake her up …….oh, what a difficult question.
My mother led us to say prayer for my grandma, and we managed to leave the cemetery before the rain came……
