Today, YB Jimmy Wong (Kota Kinabalu), YB Teo Kok Seong ( Rasah) and I met with the talented singer Soo Wincci at Sunway Pyramid for lunch.
Yesterday I put up in my fb a MMO’s news link about sponsors pulling out of her concert due to fear. The support for her has been overwhelming.
This is the first time we met her. She impressed many of us for her courage to speak out during Bersih 4 rally by asking the PM Najib to step down.
Wincci is a beauty queen, but she is not a flower vase. She is a song writer, singer and she is finishing her PhD now. Her thesis is on the impact of social media.
From our conversation over lunch, I can see that she is not only interested in singing, but she is also very eager to learn many aspects of performing arts, as she intends to promote Malaysia in the international performing industry in future.
