I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of those who perished on board flight MH370. I urge the Malaysian government and international experts to go the extra mile to continue with the search for other parts of the plane and to find out the truth behind the tragedy of MH370.
Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Razak today announced that the debris found on the French Island La Reunion belong to MH370.
Ever since MH370 mysteriously disappeared from radar 17 months ago, the families of the 239 passengers and crew have expressed hopes that the plane would be found as soon as possible.
Few months ago, the families of the cabin crew and passengers of MH370 were upset when Malaysia Airlines (MAS) officially declared that flight MH370 was lost and compensation was given to the families, because the families think that the announcement was made without any concrete evidence and basis.
With this latest finding and confirmation by international aviation authorities that the debris belongs to the ill-fated plane, I hope that family members can accept and find closure from this tragedy.
