Seputeh votes burnt

Posted on Friday, 01-08-2008 by DAP Seputeh

Thanks for voting for me :-))

Many business people and government servants were afraid to cast votes for opposition parties, because the BN people always scare them that their job and business will be affected if they voted for opposition.

I am here showing you that all your votes will be sealed in plastic packets and be thrown into fire after 6 months if there is no elections appeal.

This is the first time where I witnessed the votes burning personally. In the past, I always sent my assistant or candidate agents to witness the votes burning because the Elections Commission always informed me last minute.

All the votes in Seputeh were kept in these two big boxes.

You will find votes of different streams were kept in these envelopes and they are sealed.

We tore the envelopes and take out the votes inside.

My candidate agent Emily Sim and I.

This guy is returning officer of Seputeh constituency. We are burning the votes like the way the Taoist burn their hell bank notes in temple or funeral service.

All the plasti bags were spared from burning for we afraid the burning of plastic bags will produce dioxine.

    YB Sassy Kok,

This misconception came about because there were politicians and party members taking advantage of the voters’ ignorance of the electoral process during their election campaign rounds. Not only that, some party members and workers even frightened voters by saying that they could lose their citizenship if they did not caste their votes.

Dear YB, good luck and keep up the good work you have done for the people of Seputeh and Kinrara.

On Another Matter, I want to complain about some problem. I don’t know where to complain. My friend taking diploma in pharmacy in a private university called management and science university(MSU) Shah Alam.

The management of the university suddenly raised the course fee without any notice. His pocket money from PTPTN is only RM 100 for every 6 months. The rest of the money the university takes for his semester tuition fee. That around 55 cents per day.!!! You even cannot buy roti canai at mamak stall. Please tell the related person. My friend have complained to MSU account department and EVEN to PTPTN office.

My university owner have a very big connetion to UMNO like [deleted]. Cannot do anything! All have connection…. This is my last try for my friend…

Please Help to all my friends….

    Dear MP-&-YB Teresa Kok,

Frankly, no matter how-or-what ‘blue’ dirty threats black-dot PR, frightened 308 voter; I/we will transform PR protection shield to defense and counter attack them!

How many times ‘blue’ can frighten or enforcing us to vote for them? No chance, I/we all awaken and discharge ourselves from their dirty politic threats!

I/we sure that is only one choice, Pakatan Rakyat(PR) is the most valued choice! Victory belongs to PR, together with 308 voter! I/we satisfied and comforted 5 states and/or federal territories governed-&-servicing by PR candidates!

    One vision, one mission;
    Confident to PR, Teresa Kok!
Counter attack, power exchange, federal admin!

    TQ.
    Warmest regards.

someone with a uni degree told me that she dare not vote cause it will affect her bank loan application.

that’s how great our education system has become

dun tell me of all opposition, no one got housing loan-meh? how come there are doctors and lawyers amongst the opposition MPs? shouldn’t their professional membership be revoked?!

anyway, my message to all is that so far, my loans have not been revoked and I have not lost my job.

If this is the case, our banking system would have collapsed. Furthermore, Bukit Bintang and Cheras area, long term bastion of DAP, do not seem like a ghost town to me.

whether you vote for BN or PR or the independent fler, we citizens have our right. just vote with a clear mind. that sacred right is not worth RM200, a piece of cloth or a sack of rice. it carries the worth of your future and your children’s future. if you think RM200 is worth more than that, you must be joking.

Excuse me Theresa. Did the burning include the stubs where the ballot papers were detached?

Each time I voted I noticed that my IC number and the Serial Number against my name on the register were written in pencil the stubs. Once I insisted that the clerk erase what was written she was helpless so I approached the election officer who said that Its order from above and apologized, and I made sure I erased what was written before I voted.

Unfortunately the all the observers were blur, blur they did not know what I was protesting about!

You see with the help of computers and appropriate software all I need is employ some people to key in the relevant data and I can have full information and full analysis of what I want to know.

I don’t need six months to do that. I need only a couple of days! or even less if I put enough resources.

Can someone enlighten me that my IC Number and or my Serial Number on the Register need to be noted on the stub? Or I am the blur blur type.

Cheers and have a nice day

I am a government servant. Many of us including us voted the opposition without fear. I can tell you for sure no BN candidate or politician came to lobby us or threaten us to support them. For this point, this is your misconception and I think as a responsible MP, you must be correct in your fact and be fair to them

I think her statement has some truth in it. Whether the fear is justifiable or not is another point but the talk in the street is such as YB is merely echoing the perception of many.

On the other side, the top officials never did come out and tell the civil servants to vote whoever they like.

The Education Ministry has instructed schools not to let PR MPs into schools. YB Hannah Yeoh can verify that with her own experience experience.

I know someone in the gomen office saying that their emails are monitored and access to websites like Malaysia Today is blocked

What’s the voting trend in Putrajaya?

anyway, bravo to you nckeat88 for exercising your democratic power and hope this can convince some people who do carry that reservation

After 50 years and almost 51 years now, we should not have the fear because we are matured enough.
This is Malaysia, not another country in ASEAN where if you support the ‘wrong’ person you will become miserable for quite some time!!!

Even they are rising up for democratic freedom!!!
For all of us who love socio-economic justice & human rights, we are not bothered about any kind of intimidation.
I appreciate nckeat88 & Lee Wee Tak for writing. Thank you for inspiring.
Thanks for Teresa for explaining how ballots are destroyed some time after the elections.
God bless all peace loving & right thinking Malaysians.
