I am very pleased with the upgrading work done at the community hall of Kampung Kenangan & Kampung Tengah Bt.13 Puchong. This process was done using the open tender system, which had been diligently carried out by MPSJ. The upgrading work that was carried out is the extension of the roof and this cost RM 39,000.00.
This shows that efforts are made under the Pakatan Rakyat government in carefully selecting tenders, and more importantly saving the rakyat’s money.
Glad to know that the Selangor govt. is improving community conditions in Puchong. I read in the Star that IWK is upgrading sewer pipes in Puchong and they have an allocation from the Federal Govt.
In Puchong, Selangor, residents pay about RM270.00 per year as assessment to MPSJ. With this we get garbage collection, road cleaning, drain cleaning, mosquito fogging, street lighting, grass cutting, free water, free electric for some homes and lots of other services.
However IWK charges are RM96.00 per year which is about35% of the cost of MPSJ and it only provides ONE service. It also has other charge for extra services. It is already a privatised corporation with high charges and still gets allocations for jobs under its jurisdiction.
Perhaps some Ministry can explain this.
Thank you.
