On the 8th of May 2012 I attended the launch of the world’s first Multi Rescue Vehicle (MRV). This occasion was officiated by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Dr Sharifah Zarah Syed Ahmad.
This vehicle is the first of its kind to be manufactured. It can navigate through flood, rocky terrain and even a slope of 45 degrees. This vehicle can be submerged in 6 feet of water and still operate as normal and it can stay there for hours. This vehicle can also act as a temporary fire fighting pump, tow truck and has a generator to supply electricity for 48 hours. It is truly remarkable that such a capable vehicle is produced. The company behind this is LWK Automotive Green Technologies (LWK Green).
I hope that Malaysians can be proud of such an achievement and continue to develop ground breaking technologies.
