Please sign “Don’t burn the Quran” petition

Posted on Thursday, 09-09-2010Thursday, 09-09-2010 by Teresa Media

As we go the extra mile to create racial and religious harmony in Malaysia and the world, I feel so sad to read about the plans of a pastor in US who is organising a “Burn a Quran Day“.

Jesus’ core teaching is “love, forgiveness and peace”. How can that errant pastor lead his small flock (about 100)  to go against the teaching of Christ to burn the Quran?

Doesn’t he know that this move will create further division and resentment between the Christians and Muslims in the world? Isn’t this move very unChristian-like? It’s, in fact, a hate crime and a shame!

My friend sent me this website —Please Don’t Burn the Koran – The Petition Site — and I hope all peace-loving Malaysians will join me in this petition against the Quran burning.

May peace and joy of the Almighty God come upon those who sign this petition.

There will be nothing to achieve by burning the Quran,as it will only bring more anger and hatred in the Muslim world. I only hope the American people will listen to President Obama sincere advice and i pray the pastor don’t go ahead with plan.

Mahatma Ghandi said, an eye for an eye will make the whole blind.

Nothing surprises me in this world of ours. Man has used religion for their own gain or cause. Love and peace has always been the foundation of Christianity and may God intervene in this proposed act. When in doubt, pray.
