“Two weeks ago, a grandmother was pushed by two individuals on a motorcycle trying to snatch her belongings. She and her daughter fell to the ground. We believe the attackers had followed them from the night market,” said Ling.
Relating the incident, Fong Yit Kew, 71, said she remembered seeing two individuals stopping in front of her on the pretext of asking for directions.
“Next thing I knew, the accomplice reached out for my daughter’s handbag. We tried to stop them while the other person pushed me and my grandchildren to the ground.”
Fong said neighbours came out upon hearing the commotion, resulting in the attackers fleeing.
“I am still in shock and suffering injuries from the fall. I have bruises and a swollen leg. I’m scared to go out even with my family. Nothing is safe now,” said the grandmother of seven.

Seputeh MP Teresa Kok expressed concern over the crime spate in Taman Gembira. She hoped residents would take precautions and called for greater police presence in the neighbourhood.
“I appeal to residents to never let their guard down and be aware of their surroundings. I also hope police would increase their presence, especially in the mornings and late evenings.”
She encouraged residents to have a dialogue with police. “An active RT would help residents foster closer ties and help each other with safety issues. A gated community is also an additional option residents can consider.”

Cowards, picking on old ladies. If they have the strength to steal, rob, run and attack, why don’t they use that to work and contribute to themselves, their loved ones and society?
I think very stiff penalties should be imposed on snatch thieves and for attacking old people who might easily die, amend to the law to cite them for attempted murder, even for the above case.
if there is a good economy and efficient police force, and strict immigration control, much less of this would happen.
the federal government is responsible for the macro environment Malaysians live in, no point talking about rakyat diutamakan when these malice lingers on
I was a victim of a gold chain snatch robbery off my neck while eating lunch at a coffee shop in Sri Petaling. Also a two individuals on a motorcycle. One individual snatched my gold chain and run to the motorcycle (abt 10meteres away) with the partner ready to ride off.

I’m not blaming who’s fault is it,I think everyone already fed up with our so called Police Force.
On last time when our Hishamuddin ask the higher ranking police to go out of the street and not stay in office, everyone feel this is what we want but unfortunately our so called blue uniform guys just hangat hangat taik ayam.I encounter on last time when they do road block.9 police doing road block,3 is checking and another 6 (high ranking) sit there minum teh and social with others. So,what is the different they come out if they don’t do their jobs, pls correct me if I’m wrong.
