I was very busy on Valentine’s Day with a series of public activities.
On that night, a group of line dancers who have grouped under the name of DAP Line Dance Club performed happily at Sri Petaling Hall. I have almost lost touched with them since the line dance club was formed last year. Now having met them again, I know that they are still doing their dance in many areas in and around Kuala Lumpur.
Gary Chong (councillor of MPSJ), Lau Weng San (Kampong Tunku ADUN) and I with the line dance instructors of the Klang Valley greeting participants.
In my speech that night, I said in jest that all these women chose Valentine’s Day to have their Chinese New Year celebrations to show that they love dancing more than their husbands or boyfriends.
The children dancers are sooooo cute
I encouraged the dancers to make use of the halls and many open spaces in Selangor for their dance practices, so that more people in the state can participate in line dance activities. These halls were used by Barisan Nasional political parties as their party offices, but we now open up all these halls for residents’ community activities after we took over the state government. I particularly hope they will make use of the halls in my constituency (Kinrara) at Puchong.
The chairperson of the line dance club is seriously looking into using these halls in Puchong now. If you are interested to participate in our DAP Line Dance Club, please contact my service center.
does the club take new students?
