I was informed that Khong Chee Seng called a press conference on United Garden strata titles issue again. My God, he can fry the same old issue again and again like ikan billis. He has harped on this topic and came out in the press once in past two or three months in the past. Doesn’t he have any new things or new issues to raise? He’s becoming a real bore.
I came out in the press last week and announced the meeting with the United Garden developer’s representative. Unfortunately only the Chinese press came to my conference. After my press conference, the Chinese papers’ reporters asked khong for comment on my statement that only developer can apply for strata titles and Khong & MCA Seputeh should stop fooling the people that they can help the people to apply for strata titles. He then denied he has made such statement. He said in Sin Chew, “I 100% agree that only developer can apply for strata titles and all those who have legal knowledge know about that.”
Hi hi…. all those who read the Chinese papers about his press conference with MCA Seputeh before that know that he has said he and MCA Seputeh will help people to apply for strata titles so that the people need not be dependent on developer on this issue. When I expose their lies, he then changed his story and denied he has made such allegation. He also said that he has referred my write up in my blog to his lawyer. Please continue to do so as we are prepared to face you in court anytime. Please find excuses to chicken out.My members and I were laughing when we read this line. Ha ha…. want to sue me for exposing his misleading statement in all Chinese papers? Another former assistant to take me to court? Well, he is most welcome!! Bring it on!!!
I came back from Sabah two days ago. It was an exhaustive but rewarding trip to me and the party. I have dinner with members and a pastor. This pastor prayed for me before my friend sent me to airport. He said he saw a vision where some guerillas standing behind me while I was busy doing my works at my table. I smile after hearing that, because I know who are these guerillas and the message of this vision
Haiyah, I have so many things to do, my plates are full, I will send an invitation to get King Kong to take them on!

No more excuses, say residents
BY AYU MUSA KAMAL
THE residents of United Garden in Jalan Klang Lama are in no mood to listen to excuses offered by their housing developer.
“More than 24 years after they paid for their strata title applications, they only want their titles,” condominium, apartment and high rise committee vice- chairman Khong Chee Seng said on behalf of the residents at a Press conference yesterday.
The CAHR committee is a watchdog helping 667 residents of United Garden’s nine blocks of four-storey flats get their individual strata titles.
“The developer cannot keep on claiming ignorance and giving excuses,” Khong said.
Khong said the developer has given the excuse that when the flats were built, the Strata Title Act was not formulated.
He said all this while, several sections of the National Land Code were similar to the provisions under the Strata Titles Act, thus the developers should not use the inapplicability of the Act to silence the residents on their strata title applications.
Khong stressed that the residents are in no mood to compromise and are not willing to listen to any excuses.
“They have had enough.”
In 1983, the developer, United Housing Sdn Bhd, advised the residents to pay RM546 to apply for individual strata titles, or what was then known as sub-division..
Khong argued that by virtue of having collected money from the residents, the developer can be construed as applying for the titles.
In another twist of events in 2005, it was discovered that the development of United Garden had encroached into the government’s land. This was said to have delayed the processing of applications for the strata titles.
“This was realised in 2005. The residents are baffled as to why it took so long. The developer is still talking about buying the encroached land when this should have been settled a long time ago,” Khong said.
Earlier this year, Khong met the now developer, Sea Housing Sdn Bhd, to pursue the strata title issue but little headway has been achieved.
He said the committee’s stand is very simple.
“It’s our responsibility to make sure that developers follow all the provisions of the Housing Act.
“We are also acting as a watchdog and the developers must conform to all the regulations.”
In addition, the committee’s role is to educate buyers and keep them informed of their rights.
“The laws are there. The only problem is that there is a lack of implementation and enforcement. The residents of United Garden are not interested in taking any legal action because to them, the Housing Ministry has that powers and should take action against irresponsible developers,” said Khong.
“As for United Garden residents, they only want their long overdue strata titles.”
