Yesterday 6 chinese restaurants in Sri Petaling have jointly organised a fundraising dinner fair to raise funds for Tabung Harapan Malaysia to help the government to repay the RM1 trillion national debts.
The fundraising dinner was held from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. It was a successful event. The total collection was RM40,040.
The biggest collection was RM 14,500 from Teochiew Restaurant, followed by RM 11,800 from Sun Fung Bak Kut Teh.
I walked from restaurant to restaurant to say hello to the customers last night. This experience made me sensed the hardship of the restaurant operators and the bad economic situation, but yet they were so generous to a good cause Despite their hardships.
I would like to thank all the 6 restaurant bosses from the bottom of my heart. They sponsored the food and they cooked for the customers, and they donated all their proceeds to the government.
